Volunteers are a vital part of the Welsh Refugee Council and provide over 1300 hours of dedicated work per month. Our 24 volunteers work across the organisation and support us in tasks ranging from office support to policy and casework.
In 2012, we received the ‘Investing in Volunteering’ Quality Mark. This award demonstrates our commitment to celebrating the invaluable contribution made by our volunteers. We understand that volunteering is a two-way process and ensure our volunteers have access to a range of experiences and training opportunities.
In order to support our volunteers we offer both internal and external training programmes that are often tailored to the specific areas of interest to each volunteer. Internal training may include:
